Event Booking Installation

When you purchase Event Booking extension from our site, you will receive an email contain download link to download the extension. Click on the link, you will download a file called event_booking_unzip_first.zip. Unzip this file you will see a component, serveral modules and several plug-ins. The sections below explain the functionalities of each file, how to install and configure important parameters .
Event Booking component
- File name : com_eventbooking.zip
- Functionality : This is the main component.
- Installation :
- Login to back-end of your site
- Access to Extensions=>install/uninstall menu item
- Browse for the file com_eventbooking.zip
- Click on Upload and Install button .
Up-coming events module
- File name : mod_eb_events.zip .
- Functionality : Display up-coming events from a category or all categories.
- Installation:
- Login to back-end of your site
- Access to Extensions=>install/uninstall menu item
- Browse for the file mod_eb_events.zip
- Click on Upload and Install button .
Event categories module
- File name : mod_eb_categories.zip .
- Functionality : Display all event categories in a module. Users can then click on a category to view all events from that categories.
- Installation:
- Login to back-end of your site
- Access to Extensions=>install/uninstall menu item
- Browse for the file mod_eb_categories.zip
- Click on Upload and Install button .
Event Booking search plugin
- File name : plug_search_eventbooking.zip .
- Functionality : Allow events from Event Booking can be seached via Joomla standard search.
- Installation:
- Login to back-end of your site
- Access to Extensions=>install/uninstall menu item
- Browse for the file plug_search_eventbooking.zip
- Click on Upload and Install button .
Event Cart module
- File name : mod_eb_cart.zip .
- Functionality : It is a cart module which displays all event which users has selected for registering. You only need to install this module if you use Multiple booking feature.
- Installation:
- Login to back-end of your site
- Access to Extensions=>install/uninstall menu item
- Browse for the file mod_eb_cart.zip
- Click on Upload and Install button .
Cart Update plugin
- File name : plug_cartupdate.zip
- Functionality : This plugin is used to change status of all registration records in the checkout process to Paid status when registrants complete payment. If you use Multiple Booking feature, you must install and publish this plugin. Otherwise, you don't need to install it.
- Installation:
- Login to back-end of your site
- Access to Extensions=>install/uninstall menu item
- Browse for the file plug_cartupdate.zip
- Click on Upload and Install button .
Event Detail plugin
- File name : plug_ebevent.zip.
- Functionality : This is a content plugin which is used to show event detail within a Joomla article via systax {ebevent EVENT_ID}, for example enter {ebevent 1 } will display detail information of the event with ID = 1 in the article.
- Installation:
- Login to back-end of your site
- Access to Extensions=>install/uninstall menu item
- Browse for the file plug_ebevent.zip
- Click on Upload and Install button .
Event Register Plugin
- File name : plug_ebregister.zip .
- Functionality : This plugin is used to show individual registration form of an event within a Joomla article using the syntax {ebregister EVENT_ID}, for example {ebregister 1} will display registration for for event with ID = 1 . This feature is used full if you want to describe the event within a Joomla article and then display the registration right below after the description.
- Installation:
- Login to back-end of your site
- Access to Extensions=>install/uninstall menu item
- Browse for the file plug_ebregister.zip
- Click on Upload and Install button .
Jomsocial Activities plugin
- File name : plug_js_activities.zip .
- Functionality : The purpose of this plugin is that when someone register for an event in Event Booking, the registration information will be added to Jomsocial activities stream (User A has registered for event B) . You only need to install this plugin if you are using Jomsocial on your site. Otherwise, don't need to install it.
- Installation:
- Login to back-end of your site
- Access to Extensions=>install/uninstall menu item
- Browse for the file plug_js_activities.zip
- Click on Upload and Install button .
CB Registration History Plugin
- File name : plug_cb_ebregistrationhistory.zip .
- Functionality : Display registration history of a user in his CB profile.
- This plugin is a community builder plugin, not a Joomla(TM) plugin so it requires Community builder to be installed on your site. If your site doesn't use Community Builder , don't install this plugin .
- Installation:
- Login to back-end of your site .
- Access to Components=>Community Builder=>Plugins mangement menu item.
- Click on install plugin link .
- Browse for the plug_cb_ebregistrationhistory.zip
- Click on Upload and Install button .
JomSocial Registration History Plugin
- File name : plug_js_regisrationhisory.zip
- Functionality : Display registration history of a user in his JomSocial profile.
- Requirement : This plugin is JomSocial plugin, not a Joomla(TM) plugin so it requires JomSocial to be installed on your site. If your site doesn't use JomSocial , don't install this plugin .
- Installation:
- Login to back-end of your site
- Access to Extensions=>install/uninstall menu item
- Browse for the file plug_jomsocial_jdonation.zip
- Click on Upload and Install button.
Newsletter Plugins
Event Booking is integrated with popular Joomla newsletter extensions including : Acajoom, CCNewsletter and AcyMailing. When someone registers for your events, they will be added as subscribers of your newsletter extension so that you can send them newsletters later. Depend on the newsletter extension you are using, you will need to install the corresponding newsletter plugins :
- If you are using Acajoom newsletter extension, please install the file plug_acajoom.zip .
- If you are using CCNewsletter extension, please install the file plug_ccnewsletter.zip .
- If you are using AcyMailing newsletter extension, please install the file plg_acymailing.zip .
The install is the same for all the plugins, so I will only explain how to install the plugin for Acajoom newsletter. Here are the steps :
- Login to back-end of your site
- Access to Extensions=>install/uninstall menu item
- Browse for the file plg_acymailing.zip
- Click on Upload and Install button.
