Documents Seller Installation & Configuration

When you purchase Documents Seller from our site, you will receive an email contain download link to download the extension . Click on the link, you will download a file called dms_unzip_first.zip. Unzip this file you will see a component, several modules and plug-ins. The sections below explain the functions of each file, how to install and configure important parameters.

Documens Seller Component

1. File name : com_dms.zip
2. Functionalities : This is the main component which perform all the important tasks : Displays documents categories, documents, order form, manage orders.....
3. Installation :
   • Login to back-end of your site
   • Access to Extensions=>install/uninstall menu item
   • Browse for the file com_dms.zip
   • Click on Upload and Install button.
4. Configuration :There are many parameters which you can change , that makes Documents Seller become a very flexible extension. Most of the parameters are self-explained, I will only explain the most important parameters :
   • Integration : If you are using Community builder on your site, set it to Community Builder. If you are using JomSocial on your site, set it to JomSocial . If there are no Community Builder or JomSocial installed on your site, set it to No integration . For explanation of the integration between Documents seller and Community builder  JomSocial , please look at the product description .
   • Documents Path: Enter absolute path where your documents will be stored.
   • Activate cart feature: Set it to Yes if you want to allow your customers to purchase more than one documents in an order.
   • Payment methods : Choose the payment methods you want to use on your site .
   • Notification email subject, Notification email body : The notification email subject and body which admin will received when someone purchases documents.
   • Confirmation email subject, Confirmation email body : The confirmation email subject and body which customers will received when they purchases documents from your site.
   • Payment Tab : This tab allows you to enter merchant account of the payment gateways you use for your site .
   • Fields Tab : This tab allows you to choose show / hide , requires / not requires any fields on order form .
   • Fields mapping Tab:  If you are using CB or JomSocial on your  on your site, enter the mapping of fields between order form form and CB or JomScocial custom fields here. If you are using CB, enter names of custom fields. If you are using JomSocial, enter Field Code  of custom fields here .

Documents Module

1. File name : mod_dms_documents.zip .
2. Functionality : Allows you to show lastest, most pouplar or best-seller documents in a module.
3. Installation:
   • Login to back-end of your site
   • Access to Extensions=>install/uninstall menu item
   • Browse for the file mod_dms_documents.zip
   • Click on Upload and Install button .
4. Configuration : The module has two parameter :
   • Documents type : Choose latest, most popular or best seller .
   • Number of documents : Choose number of documents you want to display in the module .
     

Search Module

1. File name : mod_dms_seach.zip .
2. Functionality : Allows users to enter keyword, choose category then press search button to search for documents .
3. Installation:
   • Login to back-end of your site
   • Access to Extensions=>install/uninstall menu item
   • Browse for the file mod_dms_seach.zip
   • Click on Upload and Install button .
4. Configuration : No config needed for this module.

Cart module :

1. File name : mod_dms_cart.zip .
2. Functionality : Display list of documents which you added to your cart. A checkout button also showed to allow you to click on it and go to checkout process. This module only need to be installed if you enable shopping cart feature of the extension.
3. Installation:
   • Login to back-end of your site
   • Access to Extensions=>install/uninstall menu item
   • Browse for the file mod_dms_cart.zip
   • Click on Upload and Install button .
4. Configuration : The module has some parameters . They are self-explained and easy to understand .

JomSocial Order History Plugin

1. File name : plug_js_orderhistory.zip .
2. Functionality : This plugin is used to display order history of a user in his profile .
3. Requirement : This plugin is a JomSocial plugin, not a Joomla(TM) plugin so it requires JomSocial to be installed on your site . If your site doesn't use JomSocial , don't install this plugin.
4. Installation:
   • Login to back-end of your site
   • Access to Extensions=>install/uninstall menu item
   • Browse for the plug_js_orderhistory.zip
   • Click on Upload and Install button .

CB Order History Plugin

1. File name : plug_cb_orderhistory.zip .
2. Functionality : Display order history of a user in his CB profile.
3. Requirement : This plugin is a community builder plugin, not a Joomla(TM) plugin so it requires Community builder to be installed on your site . If your site doesn't use Community Builder , don't install this plugin .
4. Installation:
   • Login to back-end of your site .
   • Access to Components=>Community Builder=>Plugins mangement menu item.
   • Click on install plugin link .
   • Browse for the plug_cb_orderhistory.zip
   • Click on Upload and Install button .
